le jardin au naturel

What do you see in this picture? A backyard with a toy that needs to be picked up and grass that needs to be mowed?

Look again! It's supper. :-)

au menu ce soir:
"dent de lion" soup
asparagus spears, flash-fried
henbit salad

Non, je rigole. I'd like to use the dandelions to make a soup or salad, and the asparagus is raring to go, but henbit salad is a little aboriginal.

Here are some more Springtime shots:

APRIL 5th

Tiger lilies on the way back:

The apple tree preparing to bloom:

A hidden henbit, lurking in the Asparagus quarter!

The miracle of Spring Asparagus!

The new street lights on 2nd Street, about 1-1/2 weeks old:

Where's Waldo? He's a busy bee. . .

in the evening:

APRIL 10th
The lilacs are showing color!

Look who had a growth spurt!

Dad weeded these four garden beds yesterday:

The bleeding heart is going gangbusters

and the first tulips are blooming.

The trumpet vine is a late bloomer.

A drop of golden sun!

Bellissima!
